Abstract It is important to be able make better informed decisions about issues such as sustainability and climate change that have both personal global impact early possible in life. Primary teachers a significant role supporting students’ learning understanding of these concepts. One teaching skill needs improved for understand sustainable development the creation meaningful generalizations, including models. Therefore, experiences pre-service primary (N = 28) regard modelling was our focus.
